Setting. Choose a strand and topic, and Kido drafts the set from a curriculum-aligned bank. Mix as many topics as you like for a full revision paper, then shuffle so the questions interleave instead of arriving in blocks. Kido keeps off questions this class has already had, and swaps in a fresh version of any repeat.

Marking. Done as the child works, including the written method and not only the final number.

A child taking three times as long as the rest of the class isn't being lazy. They are struggling, and it is usually the child who would never put their hand up.

Why the insight can be trusted

Kido checks the working, not only the answer.

A child can reach a wrong answer for a dozen reasons, and a right answer can hide a shaky method. So children show their working by hand on the canvas, and Kido reads what they've actually written and responds to the step they took.

This is what makes the reporting worth reading. A lucky guess has nowhere to hide, and a misconception is caught at the step where it happened rather than averaged away into a score.

No red cross, and no “wrong”. The child fixes the step rather than starting again.

What marking can't tell you

Knowing they got it wrong is not the same as knowing why.

Every question carries an explanation for each wrong option, written when the question was authored. So when a class goes wrong the same way, MathoKido names the misconception in plain English. It stays private to the teacher.

The misconception
They subtracted the denominators too (14 − 14 → 28). The denominator stays 14; only the numerators subtract: 9 − 4 = 5, so 5/14.

Eleven children made the same mistake for the same reason. That is ten minutes at the board on Monday, instead of eleven separate conversations there was never time for.

What it will never do matters as much as what it does.

A tool in a classroom shapes how children feel about maths. These decisions were made early, and we don't intend to move them.

  • Gives a child the answer. When they are stuck it reveals one step at a time, never the answer itself.
  • Says “wrong”. It says what it noticed, and asks the next question.
  • Ranks children by ability, or shows any child how they compare with a classmate.
  • Shows struggle data to students or parents. Misconception insights are for the teacher only.
  • Sells or shares student data. There is no advertising in MathoKido.

MathoKido always…

  • Asks to see the working, and responds to the method rather than only the final number.
  • Remembers. Every question a child has answered shapes what they're asked next.

We add your school

You tell us which staff email addresses may create teacher accounts. Nobody else can. A teacher account exists only if the school put that address on the list.

Teachers make a class

Each class gets a short join code. Students enter it and the teacher approves them, so a roster can't fill with children who copied the code from the next classroom.

Set the first homework

Pick a topic, approve Kido's draft, choose a due date. Required work lands in the child's list; optional work waits for the ones who want more.

Are you asking us to replace what we already use?

No. MathoKido is designed to complement the tools and teaching your school already has. It covers homework, practice and the diagnosis that follows. We would rather fit around your scope and sequence than ask you to work around ours.

How much of a teacher's time does this actually save?

It depends on how much marking and chasing a teacher does today, so we would rather not invent a figure. What we can say precisely is what disappears: building the set by hand, marking routine homework, working out who has not done it, and reading 22 sets of answers to find the pattern. What happens to student data?

It stays with the school and the family. We don't sell it, share it, or advertise in the app. A teacher sees the students in their own classes and nobody else's. Parents see their own child. Misconception insights are never visible to students or parents.

Can a student just get the answer out of the AI?

No. Kido is built to refuse. When a child is stuck it reveals one step at a time, never the answer itself. And because it asks to see the working, an answer that appears from nowhere does not count as a solve.
